Why is application maintenance and support necessary?

How do you handle downtime on an application?

Any unexpected downtime is considered with the highest urgency and moved to the top of our queues. Meanwhile any scheduled downtime is planned well in advance at a time that provides the least inconvenience for your team. In both scenarios we recognize every minute your system if offline is a minute your team is flatlined.

What is the difference between application support and application maintenance?

Application support involves assistance with the development or data of the application. For example, a new user accidentally replaces the first name of all your contacts with “John”. With application support, we would not only restore the data, but also reconfigure the application to prevent another occurrence. For application maintenance, this typically does not involve any direct adjustments to the application or data, but only the environment that the application leans on. Application maintenance would include any software updates to the environments required to run the application.
