ONGOING AI ADVISORY

Things are moving fast. The organizations staying ahead have someone helping them navigate.

New tools launch constantly. Pricing changes. What was the right approach six months ago may not be the right approach today. A monthly advisory relationship means you always have a knowledgeable partner to help you make good decisions — without having to follow everything yourself.

Context

We know nonprofits. That means understanding the people you serve, the funders you answer to, and the constraints your team operates under every day. Our AI guidance is built around your reality, not a corporate template.

Candor

We’ll tell you when AI isn’t the right answer. We don’t sell tools and have no incentive to recommend them. Our job is to help you make good decisions — including the decision not to invest.

Continuity

If we’re already building or maintaining your software, AI advisory is integrated — not a separate relationship. The people who know your systems are the same people advising on your AI use.

Most nonprofits don’t need a full-time AI staff member. They need someone who knows their organization well, stays current on what’s changing, and can give real answers when something comes up — whether that’s a board question, a vendor proposal, a staff concern, or a decision about where to invest next.

This is a monthly retainer built around your leadership’s actual needs. We work with a small number of advisory clients intentionally so we can give each one genuine attention rather than generic guidance.

What’s Included

  • Monthly leadership check-in — A standing conversation with your Executive Director or operations lead. We review what’s changed, what’s relevant to your organization specifically, and what decisions are coming up.
  • A resource for the questions that come up between calls — Your board asks about a specific tool. A vendor sends a proposal involving AI. A staff member raises a concern. You have someone to call who knows your organization and can give you a real, specific answer.
  • Honest tool evaluation — Before you invest time or money in a new AI product, we evaluate it against your specific use cases, your data environment, and your team’s current readiness. We have no incentive to recommend tools — our job is to tell you what’s actually worth it.
  • Keeping your AI policy current — The AI landscape moves faster than most policy processes. We help you keep your internal guidelines up to date without making it a major project every time something changes.
  • Connecting AI to your software — If we’re building or maintaining software for your organization, advisory is fully integrated. The people who know your systems are the same people advising on your AI use — no separate conversations, no gaps in context.
  • Ongoing ROI perspective — As tools and pricing continue to evolve, we help you evaluate what you’re actually getting from your AI investments and when it makes sense to change your approach.

Who This Is For

This works best for organizations that have done some AI work — a workshop, an assessment, or significant independent experimentation — and want a standing resource as things continue to evolve. It’s also a strong fit for Executive Directors who want to be able to answer board questions confidently and make good AI decisions without becoming an AI expert themselves.

We keep advisory spots limited. The right first step is a conversation about where your organization is and whether this is a good fit for both of us.
